Liana Swarengin is a 35-year-old, wife, mother, published author, journalist, community volunteer, homeschool co-op co-founder and vibrant, loving soul who has poured herself into helping others thrive in our community. She is such a gift to everyone she encounters and her everyday actions aim to bring God’s goodness and blessing upon friends, family, and strangers alike.

Liana is married to Lance and together they have three beautiful children: Adeline 12, Oliver 8, and Dillon 5. In addition to running her home and small farm, Liana homeschools her children and provides full-time care for their precious son, Oliver, who is completely dependent on her due to a rare brain condition.

In December of 2023, Liana was diagnosed with Stage-4 Colon Cancer with metastasis to her lungs and liver. In January 2024, she began receiving a highly targeted cancer treatment available at Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. She completed two 7-week-long sessions, residing in the Phoenix area for the duration of her treatment. This treatment was not covered by insurance and was remarkably expensive.

In May, Liana transferred her care to an oncologist at Duke Cancer Clinic and began receiving chemo treatments. After two trips to North Carolina, she has since been able to remain home, receiving chemo treatments locally.
Our community's generous support has been a huge blessing to Liana and her family in their greatest time of need. They feel extremely humbled by the enormous outpouring of love.

As Liana continues to fight her battle, we continue to fight for her in the only way we know how, continuing to rally together to ease any financial burden she and her family might be facing. While we don't know or understand why God allows these obstacles in life, what we do know is that when He calls us to do something to glorify Him, we listen.
